Ground floor rear extension and full refurbishment of a dilapidated red brick terraced house in Rialto, Dublin 8. The project is organised beneath an expansive crinkled metal roof that gives the extension a deliberately low profile, while a restrained palette of simple materials creates an expressive and carefully detailed structure. Bespoke Douglas fir framed windows bring warmth to the interiors, and the extension wraps around the existing outrigger to minimise structural intervention within the original house.
