This Grade II listed medieval manor house presented something of an archaeological puzzle.
Centuries of addition and alteration had turned this once magnificent manor house into a trio of awkward dwellings. Our brief was to rationalize the layout of the houses and to sensitively restore and upgrade the historic fabric of the building.

Having thoroughly studied the building and its surroundings we discovered that an additional dwelling could be created through the reconstruction of a derelict shed and repurposing an otherwise unused storage room. The design of the new wing borrows materials and geometries from the old manor house whilst the use of large picture windows lends the building a contemporary character.
